The name of our fellowship is not just a random name that was selected, but is truly meaningful as it is designed to convey an important message about us. I was considering a new name for the fellowship shortly after I accepted the position of pastor here, and I thought that the name should symbolize both the fresh start that the Lord had given, and also what I believe in as a Christian. Thus, “New Life Christian Fellowship” was born! Here’s the message that I wanted our name to convey:
New Life: We can all have a new beginning, a new start in life through the power of our resurrected Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He doesn’t condemn us for our past, He wants to save us from it and give us a new life. All we have to do is believe in Him and accept Him as our Lord and Savior.
Christian Fellowship: I believe in the Church as a body of believers, and I believe each person fulfills a very important roll within that body. Just as it was when it began in the New Testament book of Acts, it is my desire to pattern our Church after that very model. We find strength and hope when we are all together and seeking the same end, a personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ.
